Question 1: Cause & Effect of The Woman’s Sin
We need to look at the effects sin had on the woman.
Are these impacting us today? In Genesis 3:16, there are 4 things that happened to Eve as a result of her choice not to believe what Her Creator had already given her. They are:
- _____________________________________________
- _____________________________________________
- _____________________________________________
- _____________________________________________
Question 2: Eve’s Impact
What did God say about the impact of Eve’s sin upon her offspring in verse 15?
Eve’s name means, “Mother of all living.” According to this statement who is Eve’s offspring?
Question 3: A Striking Observation
A striking observation is made in these 2 Scriptures: Genesis 3:16 and John 3:16.
Can you see the connection?
Genesis 3:16 To the woman he said, “I will greatly increase your [sorrow and conception] pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth [bring forth] to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
What correlation is there between the two Scriptures shown above? (If you don’t see it yet, don’t worry. Keep reading.)
Question 4: Adam’s Impact
Let’s look at the effect of sin upon the man.
What happened as a result of Adam’s disobedience in Genesis 3:17-19?
Did the results of Adam and Eve’s sin apply to them only or all of mankind after them? Why or why not?
Question 5: Pain & Suffering
Sin has a direct cause and effect relationship. The Bible says, “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life.” The hate and enmity that exists between the woman and Satan has everything to do with their sin and the pain and suffering we see upon earth today. How do we know that? Because God tells us in Genesis 3:15.
15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”
As the crowning achievement of God’s creation, Adam and Eve had a tremendous impact upon society. They went on to have children. Briefly read below what began to happen with their children.
Genesis 4:1-8 (NIV)
Adam slept with Eve his wife. She conceived and had Cain. She said, “I’ve gotten a man, with God’s help!” Then she had another baby, Abel. Abel was a herdsman and Cain a farmer. 3-5 Time passed. Cain brought an offering to God from the produce of his farm. Abel also brought an offering, but from the firstborn animals of his herd, choice cuts of meat. God liked Abel and his offering, but Cain and his offering didn’t get his approval. Cain lost his temper and went into a sulk.
God spoke to Cain: “Why this tantrum? Why the sulking? If you do well, won’t you be accepted? And if you don’t do well, sin is lying in wait for you, ready to pounce; it’s out to get you, you’ve got to master it.”
Cain had words with his brother. They were out in the field; Cain came at Abel his brother and killed him.
How did crime, lawlessness, and murder come into the picture?
Question 6: God’s Justice
- What happened to the serpent as a result of deceiving the woman in Gen. 3:14-15?
- How does God take care of the problem serpent in Genesis 3?
- My uncles in the country taught me that the best way to kill a snake is to crush its head. Who do you think was the “head” of the serpent – meaning who was the one speaking in the form of a serpent to Eve? What does God do to take care of the problem? [Hint: Read Isaiah 14:12-14]
- Since God brings justice upon the serpent for deceiving the woman, what does this say about the character of God toward His creation (man and woman)?

Question 1:
Multiply thy sorrow conception/pregnancy
Sorrow in bring forth children
Desire to be with her husband
Desire to control her husband
Question 2
Eve offspring shall bruise the head of the serpent seed.
Question 3:
Yes I see the connection
The correlation between the two scriptures is a woman giving birth and Mary gave birth to Jesus and God gave his only son so we can have everlasting life.
Question 4
Humans no longer had an intimate relationship with God. Adam sin causes all man to born into sin and a few days full of trouble. Job 14:1
Question 5
Crime, lawlessness, and murder enter into Cain’s heart. He did not control his anger. We can be angry and was instructed not to sin. Eph 4:26
Questions 6
Jesus will bruise his head. God cast Lucifer to the earth. He entered the serpent and all serpents were cursed and will have to eat the dust of the earth for the rest of his life. Jesus bruises the head of the satan when he rose from the dead with all power in his hand.

6.) God’s Justice
What happened to the serpent as a result of deceiving the woman in Gen. 3:14-15?
How does God take care of the problem serpent in Genesis 3? The Lord brought judgment against the serpent because he was the deceiver. As a result of his deception, he was cursed more than all of the cattle and more than any animal of the field. He was condemned to a life on his belly and to eat dust all the days of his life. And, he would also face open hostility from the woman and her offsprings, and his seed and that of his offspring as well.
Who do you think was the “head” of the serpent – meaning who was the one speaking in the form of a serpent to Eve? Satan
What does God do to take care of the problem? [Hint: Read Isaiah 14:12-14] Satan was cast down from heaven
Since God brings justice upon the serpent for deceiving the woman, what does this say about the character of God toward His creation (man and woman)? God contends with those who contend with us, because of the love He has for each of us.
Diana Williams On May 31, 2020 at 5:28 pm
5.) How did crime, lawlessness, and murder come into the picture? Crime, lawlessness, and murder entered in when God did not respect Cain’s offering. Henceforth, a spirit of anger, annoyance, and hostility arose in Cain because God did not accept his offering. Abel offered unto the Lord a sacrificial offering which caused the shedding of blood. And, to God that was pleasing. Abel sacrificed the best he had to offer, and Cain did not.
Diana Williams On May 31, 2020 at 5:15 pm
4.) What happened as a result of Adam’s disobedience in Genesis 3:17-19?
God cursed the ground, and said to Adam that in sorrow he will toil and eat the fruit thereof, all the days of his life, both thorns and thistles would grow for him, and that he would eat the plants of the fields, by the sweat of his face. He would eat bread until he returned to the ground. He would return to the dust from whence he came.
Did the results of Adam and Eve’s sin apply to them only or all of mankind after them? Why or why not? The sin of Adam and Eve applies to all of mankind. The mandate was given to Adam,( the head) to not eat of the fruit. Since he allowed Eve to usurp authority, and his disobedience, God could not allow him to mover forward in sin.
Diana Williams On May 31, 2020 at 4:01 pm
3.) Genesis 3:16 To the woman he said, “I will greatly increase your [sorrow and conception] pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth [bring forth] to children.
Keep reading.) As I read this, the first thing which came to mind was that of The Law – Old covenant (before Christ) and then John 3:16 at which time man was given a new covenant through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. The Law was based on the actions of the and behaviors of mankind. The New Covenant is based on the love of God, His grace, and mercy which does not bring condemnation but conviction of the heart as a result of our sins. When Adam and Eve sinned they died a spiritual death, yet through Christ and the shedding of His Blood we were redeemed and inherited Eternal Life, though we all sinned and fell short of the Glory of God.

2.) What did God say about the impact of Eve’s sin upon her offspring in verse 15?
Eve – “Mother of all living.”
Scripture clearly tells us that enmity (open hostility) would be placed between the woman and the serpent. And between your seed (offspring) and her Seed; He shall (fatally) bruise your head, And you shall (only) bruise His heel.”( Gal. 4:4).

Question 5: Pain & Suffering
Cain’s offering was not accepted because he did not follow God’s law his brother Abel offering was accepted because he followed the law, this caused Cain to become jealous
he allow hatred, bitterness and anger to enter his heart and he murdered his brother we see crime and lawlessness.

Let’s look at the effect of sin upon the man. What happened as a result of Adam’s disobedience in Genesis 3:17-19?
“And unto Adam, he said, because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying. Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

Did the results of Adam and Eve’s sin apply to them only or all of mankind after them?
Why or why not?
In my opinion, I believe the choices of Adam and Eve sin disobeying the instructions of God in
Gen 2:17 tells us,: But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
Gen 2:15 -17 tells us, “And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man (Adam), saying of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat;

1. Eve lost her uniqueness, her completeness, her wisdom and authority.
2. All her children would be made enemies of the serpent.
3. Eve’s offsprings I believe is all of mankind.
4. I believe the correlation between Gen 3:16 and St. Jn. 3:16 is Gen. was a type of
human crucifixion with death and know relationship with the Father. St. Jn was a
human crucifixion with death that brought us back to life and relationship with
the Father.
5. God cursed the ground and it was hard to work it and make it produce food.
6. I believe it was to all mankind until God sent His Son to redeem us.
7. I believe Cain allowed anger, bitterness and rage to over take him and it lead
to crime, lawlessness and murder.
8. The serpent lost all freedom and communication with humanity. His head would be
crushed as a result of it.

Q6. God’s Justice
What happened to the serpent as a result of deceiving the woman in Gen. 3:14-15?
He was cursed above all the animals, he had to crawl on his belly, always be the lowest and eat dust all his life.
How does God take care of the problem serpent in Genesis 3? God cursed him
My uncles in the country taught me that the best way to kill a snake is to crush its head. Who do you think was the “head” of the serpent – meaning who was the one speaking in the form of a serpent to Eve? What does God do to take care of the problem? [Hint: Read Isaiah 14:12-14].
God stripped Satan of his glory, beauty, grace and position and cursed him FOREVER!
Since God brings justice upon the serpent for deceiving the woman, what does this say about the character of God toward His creation (man and woman)? Don’t mess with God or the things that He blesses! He is a loving, merciful, long suffering God, but He is also a jealous God and nothing/no one shall separate us from His love!???

Q5. Pain & Suffering. How did crime, lawlessness, and murder come into the picture?
Murder was the result of crime and lawlessness, because of Cain’s heart posture about the laws of God, which he didn’t follow, We know this b/c his offering was not accepted. Because of jealousy, hatred, bitterness was in his heart, he committed this atrocious crime against his own brother.

Q4. Adam’s Impact
What happened as a result of Adam’s disobedience in Genesis 3:17-19?
Because he listened to his wife/and ate
1. The ground is cursed
2. Painful toil
3. Ground produces thorns and thistles
4. He has to eat plants of the field
5. But it’s gonna take sweat of your brow to eat your food
6. You will return to dust when you die
Did the results of Adam and Eve’s sin apply to them only or all of mankind after them? Why or why not? Applies to all mankind, that’s why Jesus had to come to give us back our dominion, we are to restore back everything the enemy perverted, destroyed, tainting by declaring and decreeing the word of God – whatesoever- we bind/loose on Earth is Bound/loosed in heaven!??????

A striking observation is made in these 2 Scriptures: Genesis 3:16 and John 3:16.

Q1. Cause & Effect of The Woman’s Sin/Are these impacting us today?
4 things that happened to Eve as a result of her choice not to believe what Her Creator had already given her.
1. Greatly increase childbirth pains – sorrow/conception
2. With pain you will give birth
3. Your desire will be to control your husband
4. He (husband) will rule over you
These still impact us today, we still experience all of these affects of that original sin.
Jacqueline Williams On May 17, 2020 at 1:54 pm
—-In Genesis 3:16, there are 4 things that happened to Eve as a result of her choice not to believe what Her Creator had already given her. They are: Painful pregnancy; Pain in child bearing; A desire to control her husband; He will rule over her. These are definitely impacting us today. How often we wish our husband would do, and be what we desire then to do or be, and though we are frustrated with the situation we stay because we love them and hope they will one day change and change sometimes never comes. How often do women stay in abusive relations be it physical, emotional, mental because of children or the financial support they need, not knowing that God is our source. The more we depend on man and not God man will always be in control.
—-The impact of Eve’s sin upon her offspring is that God said that He will put hostility between her offspring and the serpent’s offspring.
Eve’s name means, “Mother of all living.” According to this statement Eve’s offspring is all living things.
—-As a result of Adam’s disobedience, the ground was cursed and Adam now had to work hard for a living all the days of his life. The results of Adam and Eve’s sin apply not only to them but also to all of mankind after them because before then everything was provided for them in the garden but now if a man doesn’t work man will not eat.
—-The only correlation I can see thus far between these Genesis 3:16 and John 3:16 is that God Son had to be birth through a woman and Mary’s painful pregnancy. Not necessarily physical but emotional and mental.
—-Crime, lawlessness, and murder came into the picture because Adam had eaten from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil as a result man was more prone to evil and had no control over evil.
—-As a result of deceiving the woman the serpent was cursed above all animals, he had to crawl on his belly and eat dust all the days of his life. There was also hostility place between the woman’s offspring and his and basically, he would stay under his feet.
The Devil(Lucifer) was the head of the serpent.
God cast Lucifer out of heaven and I believe He cast the serpent out of the garden in the same manner.
—-Based on God’s actions toward the serpent and Lucifer we see that God as a Just God.
