Gideon was considered as a “mighty man of valor”. God asked Gideon to go and save Israel from the Midians. Gideon felt his was ill prepared and his background did not warrant this type of assignment. But God.

Gideon was referred to as a mighty man of valor. God assigned Gideon to go in the strength he had and save Israel from the hand of the Midians. Gideon response was one of disbelief. He listed all the reasons as to why it couldn’t be so. His clan was the weakest and he was the least in his family. I think of often we disqualify ourselves from the line up of doing something by listing all our shortages, faults, lacks, weaknesses and the likes. We negative talk ourselves out of the line up without even trying or applying. But God would take the foolish things of this world and confound the wise and He gets all the glory.

Jacqueline, so true! You mentioned: “…we disqualify ourselves from the line up of doing something by listing all our shortages, faults, lacks, weaknesses and the like.” Thank God, we’re moving forward now towards growth and development. What a difference a changed mindset makes,…Glad you’re with us for a 2nd round!
