My My My!!! One of my greatest desires was to get my Ph.D by the time I turned 25. After completion of my Bachelor’s Degree, I immediately entered a Master’s program and was then accepted into a Doctoral program at Cornell University. After a year at Cornell, I decided to leave to get some post master work experience. I worked a few years and then embarked on a teaching career at Benedict College. Several of my mentors encouraged me to pursue my Ph.D and I was accepted into the Dual Degree Program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health. By the Grace Of God, I completed the course work in three years and began work on my dissertation. The Dean of the College encouraged me to seek a teaching position and thereafter sent my resume to several different Universities. In summary, I accepted a teaching position at the University of Houston and continued to work on my dissertation. However, I only completed three chapters of the dissertation before my father took ill. I am not certain if it was fortunate or unfortunate but I have languished in the ABD graveyard for too many years. I have allowed many distractions and disruptions to prevent my completion of my Doctoral Degree. As of date, I still have not completed my Ph.D. 2022 is the Year of Victory.
